Single-Use BioFlex Tubing Assemblies Featured In New Brochure

Meissner has just released a new brochure featuring its BioFlex tubing assemblies. The single-use tubing assemblies are designed for secure fluid transfer in critical biopharmaceutical processing applications.

The brochure walks the end user through common process configurations for BioFlex assemblies. Color photos illustrate the variety of tubing assemblies available to provide a secure fluid path when connecting to or from any combination of single-use systems and/or stainless steel processing equipment, in addition to providing a secure fluid path for filling assemblies and manifolds, and fluid transfers with sampling and/or flushing functionality.

The brochure discusses Meissner's sterilizing-grade membrane filter capsule options available for integration into the BioFlex tubing assemblies, including SteriLUX PVDF, STyLUX PES and EverLUX PES. Additional filter media is also available for applications ranging from process stream sterilization and clarification to sterile venting. BioFlex tubing assemblies are configured from Meissner's pre-qualified library of components. The assemblies are customizable to process requirements, and offer a range of connection options and tubing materials (including TPE, platinum-cured silicone, and PVC) to achieve the end user's functionality.

The BioFlex brochure covers the comprehensive documentation and traceability supplied with each BioFlex tubing assembly. Addressed in detail, each assembly is serialized, which can reduce batch record requirements in some cases. When a filter is integrated into the tubing assembly, the filter serial number is linked to the assembly's serial number. Meissner provides a single cohesive package for the complete assembly, which includes component specific lot number information, TSE risk and qualification status, as well as applicable filter certification material and specific gamma irradiation dosage information.
