Bosch Packaging Technology is introducing a tablet weighing module for the Bosch KKE 2500 checkweigher that can handle even the most challenging and difficult tablet shapes. With this module, the KKE can accurately weigh tablets and capsules at high outputs. Up to 60,000 tablets and 150,000 capsules can be weighed per hour.
In order to increase production reliability, the new tablet weighing module for the Bosch KKE 2500 makes it possible, for example, to immediately reweigh production batches with weight irregularities. This minimizes tablet rejects and improves production efficiency.
Tablets are positively controlled throughout the weighing and ejection process so that it is impossible for an out of tolerance tablet to find its way into the good product. This is a key advantage for the reliable production of pharmaceutical products.
The tablet infeed system is affixed to a separate base frame and can be docked easily onto the KKE by hand, requiring no tools. Production data is collected by the user-friendly integrated software. For quality assurance, the data can either be saved to a DVD or transferred to higher-level computer systems.
The short changeover times from tablet to capsule weighing make KKE a flexible and efficient control system. The tablet weighing unit can also be retrofitted for existing Bosch KKE 2500 capsule checkweighers.
