Vial Coding – KIV
Brochure: Vial Coding – KIV
Vial coding is becoming increasingly important in pharmaceutical processing. Regulatory requirements for traceability and protection against counterfeiting are driving manufacturers to add dates and other identification information to their filled and sealed vials, ampoules, cartridges, and syringes.
The Bosch KIV series meets this customer need. This vial coder is intended for in-line use and can label up to 600 containers per minute.
The KIV uses standard marking technology and video camera inspection to mark batch and/or product data on the cap or side lip. Standard visible ink or invisible (fluorescent) ink can be used, and alphanumeric or 2-D matrix codes can be printed.
After marking, an integral video camera system inspects the result for readability and accuracy. Improperly marked containers are rejected.
