The ATAGO Model DR-A1 Digital Abbe Refractometer features digital readout of either Brix or Refractive Index (nD), electronic prism temperature measurement, nozzles for connection to a circulating constant temperature bath, and Automatic Temperature Compensatioon (5-50°C). The DR-A1 combines high accuracy [± 0.0002 for refractive Index (nD), ± 0.1% for Brix] and a wide range [1.3000-1.7100 for Refractive Index (nD), 0.0-95.0% for Brix]. The LCD display is the largest available on similar refractometer models and displays both the reading and prism temperature as they occur.

Operation is simple: 1) Place on the prism and close the cover; 2) While looking through the eyepiece, rotate the adjustment control knob until the shadowline in centered in the crosshairs; 3) The reading and prism temperature are displayed on the LCD screen.

In addition to aqueous samples, the DR-A1 can also be used to measure the refractive index (nD) of solid (i.e. glass, plastic, film, etc.) The DR-A1 is also capable of measuring in either transmission or reflexion modes by use of the delta-ray wavelength.

Model 1T Abbe Refractometer
Features a digital thermometer, built-in light source, nozzles for connection to a circulating constant temperature bath, and high-level optics. When used with a water bath, the effective temperature range is 0-50°C. Model 1T's high accuracy and Standard features make it ideal for most laboratory setting.

Model 2T Abbe Refractometer
Features a digital thermometer, built-in light source, nozzles for connection to a circulating constant temperature bath, and high-level optics. When used with a water bath, the effective temperature range is 0-120°C. Model 2T is specifically designed for working with high-temperature samples.

Model 3T Abbe Refractometer
Performs with the highest level of accuracy but is also easy to use. The 3T is equipped with all of the following high-end features: four-position lighting an oversized scale, coarse & fine control knobs, a high accuracy digital thermometer, high-level optics, and a built-in air dryer and moisture removal device. When used with a water bath, the effective temperature range is 0-50°C.

Model 4T Abbe Refractometer
Features a high refractive index (nD) range (1.4700-1.8700), a digital thermometer, built-in light source, nozzles for connection to a circulating constant temperature bath, and high-level optics. When used with a water bath, the effective temperature range is 0-50°C. Model 4T is perfect for research on any new compounds with unusually high refractive indices; also ideal for work with polymer film and related materials.
