Abbott Labs, Quest Diagnostics ink $60 million supply agreement

<%=company1%> (Abbott Park, IL) and Quest Diagnostics Inc. (Teterboro, NJ) have signed a two-year, $60 million supply agreement, under which Abbott will provide Quest Diagnostics with immunoassay tests and systems for hepatitis, cancer, cardiac conditions, and therapeutic drug monitoring.

The agreement also allows Quest to use Abbott's PSA (prostate-specific antigen) and homocysteine assays. The PSA assay is a blood test for early detection of prostate cancer; the homocysteine test is an automated test that measures levels of homocysteine, an amino acid, identified as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
