Absolute Control Systems

Source: Absolute Control Systems
Founded in 1991, ABSOLUTE CONTROL SYSTEMS (ABSOLUTE) began as a custom control system integrator for containment glovebox users and manufacturers across the United States. In early 1995, ABSOLUTE evolved into a full service design and fabrication company, specializing in Barrier Isolators for the Pharmaceutical Industry. We have continued to expand our facility and services to meet our customers' needs. With our in-house engineering team, we offer complete turnkey solutions to your most difficult containment problems.

As owner-operators, we are directly involved in every aspect of the business. All of the services we offer are performed in-house. Our rigorous 18 point Quality Assurance Program provides complete traceability and documentation. We are well qualified to build your next project.

Our Project List includes custom equipment produced for the purposes of:

  • Pharmaceutical / Potent Chemical Handling
  • Biohazard Containment and Disposal
  • Inert Atmospheres for O2 or Humidity Sensitive Products
  • Hazardous Process / Equipment Containment
  • Powder blending, weighing, dispensing, sampling
  • And many others.....

ABSOLUTE is a solidly established, full service organization with a reputation for the highest quality products and services. We have expanded our manufacturing operations twice in 1995, and again in March 1996. This level of growth resulted in the recent purchase of $250,000 worth of new metal fabrication tools and a larger shop area. Our Design and Controls capabilities have both greatly increased as a result of the expansion. A dedicated clean area is now available for clean assembly and packaging operations.

Overview: ABSOLUTE has specific, relevant experience designing, fabricating, installing, testing and starting up custom glovebox isolator systems. This experience includes integrating process equipment into an enclosed environment, as well as producing process equipment as stand-alone systems.

Our expertise is in making process systems work inside gloveboxes. We design the system with operation and maintenance in mind. We utilize the latest industry guidelines and our own experience to produce equipment that operators can use, and maintenance personnel can keep running. Full-size or reduced scale mockups have been produced to clearly show operators how the system will work. By careful attention to detail in the design phase, we produce an integrated system that you can use and maintain.

Custom System Design: ABSOLUTE personnel have been involved in all aspects of custom glovebox system design. Our individual experience goes back almost 20 years, working for the industry leaders in glovebox design and fabrication. Our design staff has worked together as a team for over 12 years. Since 1995, this experience has been brought together, combined with a full fabrication shop, under one roof.

Our unique approach virtually guarantees our customers of success, the first time. ABSOLUTE provides full service "One Stop Shopping" for customers that require complete integrated enclosed equipment systems. ABSOLUTE provides conceptual design, cost estimates, and fabrication design for custom gloveboxes, enclosures, and enclosed machine and/or process systems to meet the specific requirements of our customers. We work from a customer-supplied P&ID drawing, specification or a simple hand sketch with close customer communication. Our design work is performed on state of the art computer equipment with the latest version of AutoCAD.

Superior People: We have one of the most experienced teams in the glovebox isolator industry. Our personnel are nationally recognized for their expertise in this business. Our staff is routinely called upon to present technical papers and instruct at educational forums. You can be assured that the project team presented in the proposal will be the same project personnel assigned to your project.

Project Control: At ABSOLUTE, we run several projects in parallel. Experience dictates that we must maintain tight project controls. As of September 1998, we have successfully run up to five design-build projects concurrently. We use the latest in computer software, along with established procedures and our manufacturing planning, to maintain control over all the details involved in project management.

Schedule: By providing the design and fabrication services under one roof, we eliminate the hassles of dealing with "partnered" teams. You have one point of contact for all project issues, eliminating finger pointing that can hamper the success of a fast track project. Our streamlined approach has proven successful to our clients.

Fabrication: ABSOLUTE fabricates stainless steel sheet metal enclosures in virtually any shape or configuration. We normally work with up to 3/16" (7 ga.) thick stainless steel sheet metal for most process enclosure projects, although a wide range of material can be handled. Our craftsmen are capable of cutting, bending, forming, welding, polishing, assembly, and testing, per our customers' requirements and all of the applicable standards set forth by the ever-evolving process enclosure industry.

Quality Assurance: We incorporate our customers' QA requirements for projects as required. These standards include ASME NQA-1, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections VIII & IX, FDA 3A Sanitary Finish Standards, ANSI/ASTM Standards, NSF and the American Glovebox Society Guidelines for Gloveboxes. Our welders are certified to qualified weld procedures per ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX requirements. Complete documentation will be supplied upon specific customer request.

Machining: Our complete machine shop complements our fabrication capability. By keeping your entire project in-house, we can offer quick turn around times and lower cost. For exotic or specialty machining operations we must farm out, we maintain control over the process, covering our carefully selected suppliers under our Quality Assurance umbrella.

Electrical/Controls: Electrical cabinet and control system fabrication and design is what ABSOLUTE was founded upon and still remains as what sets us apart from all other U.S. process enclosure vendors. We can provide complete custom PLC or PC based machine/enclosure control systems including programming for integration of HVAC devices, CIP and VHP for cleaning and sanitization, and other integrated sub-systems.

NDE and Testing: ABSOLUTE has qualified SNT-TC-1A Level II & III testing personnel that provide for our customers complete dye penetrant testing, and helium & pressure decay leak testing per universal or project specific requirements. We offer DOP challenge testing of filters in-house.

Installation and Start-Up: ABSOLUTE provides installation and start-up assistance if required by our customers. ABSOLUTE creates installation instructions and drawings, site drawings, and facility utility interface specifications and drawings for a custom equipment installation. We provide personnel to direct an installation by our customer's personnel, or we can provide full installation and on site testing services as required.

Process System Integration: We specialize in integrating our client's equipment into an enclosed system. ABSOLUTE has completed several complex systems, described in detail in the "Project Narratives and Examples" section of our Qualifications statement. Our experience includes:

  • Airlocks, Clean Benches, Pass-Throughs
  • Inert Atmosphere Systems
  • Pure Gas Equipment
  • Automation Control Systems and Instrumentation
