Adonix X3 offers shelf life tracking and more
The ability to track shelf life is crucial to chemical manufacturers, whether they make fertilizer, shampoo, or disinfectant. Now midsize chemical manufacturers can automatically monitor the shelf life and expiration date of raw materials and end products to ensure optimum product quality and saleability. These capabilities are available in the latest version of the Adonix X3 business application suite.
"Shelf life tracking for product lots and raw materials is just one of the tools that Adonix X3 gives chemical manufacturers," said Bill Owens, indirect channel manager for Adonix. "The suite is designed to provide the information these manufacturers need to get more marketable product out of raw materials and to control costs."
Adonix X3 provides chemical manufacturers capabilities specific to their processes:
- Multiple packaging configurations per item, e.g., different package types, weights or sizes, number of units per case, pallet, or container
- Lot management, including shelf life control, the ability to allocate inventory to customer sales orders by lot number
- Complete lot traceability from one end of the supply chain to the other
- Quality control of raw materials and of product at specified points in the production process, including when the work order is completed
- Chemical potency monitoring for specific lots and packages
- The ability to define formulas and recipes.
- Overlapping routing, e.g., the ability to begin packaging one portion of a batch while the rest is cooling
Adonix X3's functionality is especially useful for companies requiring a mixture of discrete and process manufacturing capabilities ("hybrids") including plastics, rubber and paper, but can also fit a variety of batch environments such as cosmetics, chemicals and packaged food.
Adonix X3 is an all-new, highly functional system of integrated business applications with an advanced technical foundation. It is engineered to be easier to install and maintain, easier to use, and easier to customize and extend than traditional systems, thereby saving time, lowering costs and reducing implementation risks. Adonix X3 is especially designed for the make-to-order, configure-to-order, assemble-to-order, make-to-stock and batch manufacturing environments.
