Advanced Mobile Lab For Rapid Disease Response - BSL-3 Mobile Laboratory Saudi Arabia

Germfree developed a BSL-2 and BSL-3 mobile laboratory for rapid deployment during major events and outbreaks in Saudi Arabia, specifically for King Abdulaziz University Hospital. The lab, housed in a semi-truck with retractable parts for maximum workspace and adaptability, includes BSL-2 and BSL-3 labs, an anteroom, a mechanical room, and storage spaces. It features Class III glove boxes and Class II biosafety cabinets, along with rapid transfer ports, pass boxes, and a double-door autoclave for safe sample and waste transfer.

Designed to meet stringent safety standards, the mobile lab aims to enhance rapid outbreak response and manage highly infectious pathogens safely. Germfree’s expertise in creating advanced, adaptable biocontainment solutions is exemplified by this project, which is crucial for health crises and major events.
