Alfa Laval Appoints Brent Smith President of Parts and Service Division

Brent Smith was appointed President of the Parts and Service Division of Alfa Laval Inc., based in Warminster, PA, as of February 2004. Smith joined Alfa Laval in 2002 as Vice President of Human Resources.

He previously worked at Honeywell International (formerly Allied Signal) six years, where he most recently served as Human Resource Business Partner for Automation and Control Solutions, focusing his efforts on integrating and restructuring the commercial and industrial controls businesses. Prior to that he held positions as Human Resource Leader for the Home and Building Controls service group and Human Resources Manager for the Polymers and the Automotive areas.

Smith started his career at AT&T as a Labor Relations Specialist and Staff Manager, Corporate Labor Relations in 1990. In 1994, he went to Lucent Technologies where he served as Workforce Relations Manager before joining Allied Signal in 1996.

Smith has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. He has completed Executive Management Programs at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, The Johnson School of Management at Cornell and The University of Michigan's Business School.
