AlliedSignal Acquires Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals S.A.

AlliedSignal Inc. (Morris Township, NJ) has completed its acquisition of Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals S.A. (PFC) of Lugano, Switzerland, from an investor group led by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette's Merchant Banking Group. Terms of the agreement were not announced.

PFC, a fast-growing producer and distributor of active and intermediate pharmaceutical fine chemicals, will be part of AlliedSignal's Specialty Chemicals business.

AlliedSignal Specialty Chemicals manufactures and supplies specialty and fine chemical products for a range of applications. AlliedSignal Inc. is an advanced manufacturing and technology company providing aerospace and automotive products, chemicals, fibers, plastics and advanced materials.
