Anabolic Laboratories Saves $175,000 Annually With ERP
Atlanta, GA - Ross Systems, Inc., a global provider of enterprise software solutions for manufacturers and a division of CDC Software, the enterprise software company of CDC Corporation, has enabled pharmaceutical manufacturer Anabolic Laboratories to achieve significant business improvements using Ross' iRenaissance as its operational system of record.
With iRenaissance, Anabolic has increased visibility throughout the enterprise to improve bi-directional lot tracing and the ability to conduct mock recalls. In the event of a recall, the company can trace product throughout the supply chain in 20 minutes, a process that had previously taken as long as three days. With better inventory control, Anabolic has decreased expired stock by 80 percent, saving the company approximately $175,000 annually.
Scaling to support the company's expanding product line, Anabolic has also achieved 60 percent revenue growth since implementing iRenaissance in 1998. Anabolic now offers more than 100 different types of vitamin supplements and a specialty line of chiropractic products, an expansion company officials say would not have been possible without iRenaissance.
"iRenaissance has enabled Anabolic to grow and deliver high-quality products, becoming one of the leading manufacturers of nutritional and herbal formulations on the market today," said Robert Verdugo, information systems manager at Anabolic Laboratories. "With increased visibility enterprise-wide, we have the information necessary to improve operational efficiencies and focus on the development of new products and supplements."
In addition to nutritional products, Anabolic is an important contract manufacturer to the pharmaceutical industry. The quality control and assurance capabilities inherent in iRenaissance help Anabolic to successfully plan, execute and document manufacturing operations in accordance with federal and international regulations. Monitoring and recording these processes in real-time, Anabolic follows the highest standards of quality, which earned the company a Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) "A" rating by the National Nutritional Foods Association, an honor that requires an independent and exhaustive audit of operations.
"Like many of our life science customers, Anabolic Labs leveraged iRennaissance to cost-effectively grow its business and maintain compliance with stringent industry regulations," said Michael Webster, director of life sciences for Ross Systems. "Focused and feature-rich, our solutions provide easy adaptability to changing business models and communications innovations, scaling to meet long-term requirements."
