ARKIOS was founded by Gary Pekoe, Ph.D., in 1994, based in part on his experiences directing clinical operations at a start-up biotech company. As Director of Clinical Operations, Dr. Pekoe found he was in a niche that was not well served by the CRO industry. He realized that his small biotech company did not receive the necessary level of attention; they were small fish in a big pond. Small biotech companies were in the queue behind large pharmaceutical companies with big contracts. At ARKIOS, however, you are not in line behind large companies, and you have direct access to experienced industry professionals with accomplishments that include FDA-approved NDAs and PLAs.

ARKIOS provides services that include development and implementation of FDA approval strategies, comprehensive regulatory affairs, communications with and presentations to the FDA, and assistance with clients' fundraising activities, as well as typical CRO services (clinical trial management, study monitoring, data management and biostatistics).
