Ashland Distribution Creates Fine Ingredients Division

<%=company1%>'s Fine Ingredients Division (FID; Dublin, OH) has formed a dedicated business and sales group to focus on electronic business initiatives. The new group, led by Stan R. Turner, will manage FID's electronic ordering site and will investigate and develop new electronic business opportunities.

In a company press release, FID vice president and general manager Gerald M. Snyder stated, "By creating this focused business unit within FID, we can better serve customers and suppliers opting for electronic interaction, while continuing to offer traditional, face-to-face sales and customer service channels to those who choose that route."

The division has also launched a customized electronic ordering web site (www.FIDonline.com) for registered U.S. customers in the food, beverage, nutritional, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries. Electronic order customers can place orders, obtain account information, review order history, customize their personal product profile, maintain electronic contact with customer service representatives/sellers, and access order/invoice tracking.
