The Design Group's mission is to be the leading consulting engineering company in the packaging industry. Our primary products include feasibility studies, project management, mechanical integration engineering, electrical controls engineering, servo motion control technology, validation services, electrical control panels, installation services, and start-up services.
We believe our position in the marketplace is unique. The Design Group is truly an independent engineering consulting firm with no direct equipment responsibility or corporate expectations to integrate Barry-Wehmiller equipment. At the same time, we have the wherewithal and infrastructure of a major packaging equipment company to provide stability and investment for continuing growth.
The Design Group has a staff of over 100 professionals, including project managers, engineers, and technical specialists dedicated to the mechanical and electrical integration of packaging lines. We have undergone controlled and consistent organizational growth over the years, with continuous emphasis placed on recruiting talent from the packaging industry.
Based on our success and the overall growth strategy of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc., we are projecting substantial organizational growth over the next several years. Our business strategy is extremely focused on answering the needs of the packaging industry, and we will not distort our vision by expanding outside of this area.

Our project managers and engineers have experience which has been concentrated exclusively on the integration of packaging equipment. They fully understand the importance of packaging design concepts, project management, installation requirements, operator training, equipment maintenance, and packaging line performance. Utilizing these skill sets, we will provide a solid management team which is structured with flexibility for new project developments.
