Best Pharmaceutical Production Technology Suppliers: Spraying Systems Co. And Fluid Air
Who We Are
We provide integrated spray and solid dosage processing solutions for a broad range of pharmaceutical applications, including tablet coating, fluid bed processing, high-shear granulation, spray drying, solid dosage processing, vessel cleaning and more.
Our in-house engineering and manufacturing capabilities allow us to work directly with customers to develop customized, cutting-edge solutions for highly specialized or unique applications, setting us apart from “off-the-shelf” suppliers who may be unable to customize their standard products to meet customer requirements.
The Next Generation of Pharmaceutical Technology
Our results-oriented approach aims to simplify and optimize your process by eliminating maintenance downtime and product waste wherever possible. Clogging or buildup around the nozzle orifice, or "bearding," is a common cause of both product waste and downtime due to clean-up. To resolve this, we have introduced the next generation of anti-bearding technology: our P-series anti-bearding spray set-ups for our tablet coating manifolds and VMAU spray guns. The air cap is designed with high impingement fans and a reduced surface area to prevent accumulation near the nozzle orifice; in many cases, this allows users to run their spray operations up to four times longer than with standard equipment. In addition, the new air cap provides wider spray coverage and offers significant savings for end-users on process air consumption and spray material. Anti-bearding spray set-ups help improve process quality, volume and profitability.
Our latest innovation, the AccuJet Ultrasonic system, produces an ultra-fine, uniform spray for a wide variety of spray applications. The system, consisting of 1 to 3 spray nozzles and a controller, is ideal for micron-level or thin-film coatings, spray drying, fluid bed coating, humidification and other high-precision applications. The Ultrasonic spray nozzle uses very high-frequency vibration instead of high pressure or compressed air to produce small, uniform droplets and very low flow rates ranging from 0.5 to 8cc/min. The Ultrasonic spray controller allows for fine-tuning of the
spray to provide optimal coverage with minimal "mist" or overspray, resulting in savings on material and maintenance costs.
Fluid Air, a division of Spraying Systems Co. specializes in solid dosage processing equipment, offering an entire line of customized fluid bed systems, high-shear granulators, size reduction systems and process control software. Our MAGNAFLO® and MAGNACOATER® fluid bed systems offer drying, granulation and Wurster coating capability in a single system, and features several patented innovations:
-
A conical expansion chamber which reduces the velocity of the air in the filter chamber by 50%, The reduction in velocity helps to keep the smaller or fine particles out of the upper filter region and below the spray nozzles when granulating, reducing processing time.
- An agitator system located in the bottom of the bowl eliminates dead spots to ensure proper fluidization, eliminating the operator from having to shut down the process and manually shovel or rake the bottom of the bowl bed.
- A round “chandelier” liquid-delivery manifold, mounted above the bowl, allows the system to be adjusted without interrupting the process. Our top-spray granulation nozzles point down toward the bed surface and are carefully positioned to ensure uniform distribution of the binder solution. This allowing users to deliver a greater volume of solution per minute without fears of over-wetting certain areas due to overlapping of the spray, reducing overall process time and improving uniformity of the finished product.
