BF Goodrich Scores Major Success With PRiSM

Key Component of OSHA and ISO 9001 Programs

Jeff Campbell, Plant Manager of BF Goodrich's Henry, Illinois facility, charged his staff with finding an electronic solution to the ever-increasing paper and manual processes. Complying with OSHA Process Safety Management and ISO 9001 quality standards along with increased productivity and employee safety were major goals of this project.

Background...
After reviewing several different systems, BF Goodrich made the decision to go with the PRiSM Suite, which includes integrated applications for document management, employee access to critical process safety information, procedure management, online training and management of change tracking.

How They Did It...
Over the past several months, with the help of ATR's FastTrack services team, personnel at this rubber, chemical and plastic additives plant have imported over 800 documents and all employee training records into the PRiSM System.

Results...
The results have included "easy access to up-to-date operating and lab procedures and safety policies from every PC in the plant, reduced document turnaround from 2 weeks to 2 hours, automatic training reminders, and atyour- own pace training opportunities," according to Jeff Campbell.

Vickie Donley, Chief Chemist and PRiSM Implementation Leader said, "...we identified an opportunity to improve our operations, increase efficiencies and save the company money. The response has been extremely positive and we're proud of the installation and the results we are achieving."
