Buffalo Air Handling
In 1910, Buffalo hired Willis Carrier as an engineer. Willis Carrier started a "small" company, with Buffalo Forge's initial financial assistance and pioneered air conditioning, as we know it today.
Buffalo Forge custom air handling units established a market niche in the mid 1950's. The air handling unit market continues to grow. Our Big Buffalo, Model K and BA 2000 units serve this growing market.
The Buffalo Air Handling facility in Amherst, Virginia was built in 1977 to exclusively build air handling units. Today, Buffalo Air Handling produces units for many markets including pharmaceutical, hospital and health care, chemical, telecommunication, semi-conductor, institutional, pulp and paper, food and automotive. Applications range from comfort cooling to clean room to process.
