Burkert Delivers the First Complete Solution for Precise Proportional Control With a Sanitary "High Purity" Diaphragm Valve

Take an industry standard diaphragm valve body, offer it in high purity materials, then add the revolutionary programmable "top-down" control flexibility and you have the innovative Burkert TOP Control™ Type 2031 high purity valve system for ultra-pure and sanitary fluids. Offering the industry's only true proportional control solution for a diaphragm valve that delivers accurate control, this version of Type 2031 with TOP Control™ head is ideally suited for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, biotechnology, cosmetics, semiconductor and other "high purity" or sanitary applications. This innovative control solution meets the rigorous standards of both BPE and FDA.

The Type 2031 valve bodies are available in investment cast or forged stainless steel (F316L or Al6XN) or in plastic (PVDF, PVC, and PP), with process connections of 9/16 in. to 2 in. Diaphragm options of EPDM or PTFE/EPDM ensure hermetic isolation of fluid from the corrosion resistant pneumatic actuator. Temperature ratings are +14°F to +284°F with pressure from 0-140 PSI.

The revolutionary TOP Control™ head offers accurate and programmable proportional control options, allowing the unique characteristics of a diaphragm valve to be precisely controlled. Set point adjustment may be done at the valve or externally via standard analog input signals. Designed for accurate control of pressure, temperature or flow the TOP Control system accepts direct sensor inputs including RTD, 4-20 Ma. and frequency. Instant connectivity to Fieldbus systems includes AS-I, Profibus and DeviceNET. Burkert TOP Control™ head units are easily linked to existing process automation systems for simpler process design and validation. These features significantly reduce installation and start-up times, cutting up to 40% of the Total Cost of Ownership.
