Capsule Filter With Filling Bell Assembly

capsule_fill_bell.jpg

A filling bell assembly is now available on Meissner's line of capsule filters. The assembly guards against airborne contaminants when used with capsules to fi lter liquids into roller bottles, flasks, or other receptacles. The integral capsule fi lter and filling bell are ideal for fi ltration and aseptic fi lling of critical fl uids such as tissue culture media, biologicals and other pharmaceutical preparations.

Composed of polycarbonate material, the filling bell is more durable and shatter-resistant than glass assemblies. Its transparent nature also allows operators to see through it in order to position vessels being fi lled.

The filling bell option is offered on capsules with effective filtration areas of 300 cm2, 500 cm2, 1000 cm2 or 2000 cm2. The assembly is available on capsules with a choice of pleated fi lter media in polypropylene microfi ber, glass microfi ber, PVDF, PES, PTFE or polypropylene, with retention ratings from 0.04 µm to 99 µm. The capsule fi lter and fi lling bell are also available in a gamma-irradiated version to ensure sterility.
