Sartorius CellGenix® Preclinical Recombinant Human Interleukin-18 (rh IL-18)

Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is a crucial cytokine that significantly influences both innate and adaptive immune responses. It plays a pivotal role in initiating cell-mediated immunity, especially following exposure to microbial products. IL-18 is known for its ability to enhance the activity of natural killer (NK) cells and T-cells by stimulating their production of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). This cytokine is primarily produced by activated macrophages, but other cell types can also produce it.
