Christ Ltd, with headquarters in Aesch, Switzerland, is among the leading suppliers worldwide of technologically demanding large-scale plants for water treatment. The plants and appliances of Christ excel by their innovative state-of-the-art technology and their high quality. The primary activities of the company focus on systems that produce the highest achievable water quality for use in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and power generation industries. Further important market segments include potable water production and wastewater treatment systems.

In Switzerland, Christ is market leader both for large-scale plants and for the supply of standard design equipment for tap water purification. The standard equipment is mainly installed for household use, catering, and other applications in trade and commerce that require only lower volume production.

Christ's ecological responsibility goes beyond the careful dealing with the vital resource water. Research and development efforts are focussed on more efficient processes and equipment, i.e. simultaneous reduction of emissions and energy cost. The simultaneous integration of production of pure water to supply an industrial facility, combined with the reclamation and reuse of the resulting rinse waters, allow Christ to maximize the overall use of the existing water resources.

The success story of Christ began with the management buyout (MBO) at the end of 1992. The MBO team of four people managed to set course for success within no time at all after the company had gotten into trouble caused by an unbridled expansion. Christ achieved the financial goals required, resulting in a successful public offering in the first half of 1996 to thus ensure a sound basis for a continuous growth into the 21st century.
