Circor acquires Rockwood Swendeman safety relief valves
Valve and fluid control manufacturer Circor International Inc. (Burlington, MA) has acquired the Rockwood Swendeman product line of cryogenic safety relief valves and systems used in the industrial gas market. Circor CEO David Bloss described the acquisition as a "small but exciting" add-on to his firm's existing line of cryogenic products.

"This well-known, brand-recognized product line in the cryogenic marketplace will be packaged with the CPC/Cryolab product line of Circor to augment our current cryogenic product offering, as well as allowing us to expand our presence in the industrial gas market," Bloss said.

Rockwood Swendeman products had sales of about $2.5 million last year. Circor plans to relocate manufacture of the valves to Circor's Walden, New York facility from Portland, Maine within the next six months.

Circor provides valves and fluid control products to the instrumentation, fluid regulation, and petrochemical industries.
