Clinical Ink Unveils New Web Site, Version 1.0 Of Its eSource Solution For Electronic Data Capture

Clinical Ink, provider of the first true eSource solution for clinical trials, recently announced the launch of its new Web site, and plans to release version 1.0 of its eSource solution in June 2008. The Web site, www.clinicalink.com, provides detailed explanations of Clinical Ink's solution for capturing and storing data during clinical trials. Clinical Ink provides customers with tablet PCs running proprietary software. The software allows data entry on customized documents that retain the look and feel of traditional paper data collection forms.

"Our system eliminates multiple data entry, increases accuracy and ultimately saves money by reducing the time to market," said Doug Pierce, CEO of Clinical Ink. "It also allows customers to manage, view and store the data and forms on our secure Web portal."

To create this breakthrough technology, Clinical Ink entered into an exclusive, worldwide license with Datasci, owner of a patent regarding the collection and validation of clinical trial data over the Internet. With this license, Clinical Ink was able to move forward and develop its unique solution.

"Datasci provided us with the protection we needed to enter the EDC market," said Pierce. "When we acquired the license from Datasci, we were acquiring a partner. Datasci has subsequently invested in Clinical Ink and they are an integral part of our success."

To date, Datasci has granted six non-exclusive patent licenses in the EDC marketplace.
