CMA Compliance Information Resource Available to Chemical Industry
The Chemical Manufacturers Association (CMA) is introducing the Regulatory Monitoring Service, a product of CMA's Compliance Assistance Program that focuses on regulations promulgated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
The service consists of Compliance Alerts, a weekly publication that covers the content of final rules, impending compliance deadlines and other important issues; and the Calendar of Regulatory Deadlines, a quarterly bulletin that itemizes regulatory compliance deadlines over the next three years. Both tools include information to help company personnel understand what they must do to meet regulatory requirements.
CMA Compliance Assistance Program tools such as the Regulatory Monitoring Services, are developed by member representatives and coordinated by the CMA compliance assistance manager. Other compliance assistance tools address the RCRA Subpart CC rule, EPA's Risk Management Program (RMP) rule and the DOT Pipeline regulations.
CMA, founded in 1872 and based in Arlington, Va., is the focal point for the chemical industry's collective action on legislative, regulatory and legal matters at the international, national and state levels.
