Coating Place Expands Contract Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities
Coating Place Inc. has just completed an 85,000ft² expansion of its contract pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Verona, Wisconsin. The expansion includes 35,000ft² of GMP multi purpose and commercial production suites, 40,000ft² of warehousing that includes refrigerated storage and 10,000ft² of engineering and maintenance space. CPI continues to expand upon its capabilities with the addition of extrusion spheronisation and chilsonation equipment. These processes can significantly reduce the production time and cost for all new products.
The commercial expansion of the facility will include large commercial scale Wurster fluid bed coaters. These units will accommodate batch sizes between 125-600kg using both aqueous and solvent based coating systems. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly CPI has also installed a new plant wide regenerative thermal oxidizer system that is 99.9% clean burning and will help us to recover more heat for use in the facility than before.
