ControlNet VME Interface Card
The ControlNet VME interface card is designed for high-end ControlNet applications supporting simultaneous ControlNet scanner, adopter and messaging functions. Applications include embedded data acquisition and control in VME-based computers or VME-based PLCs.
The card supports up to 128 scheduled and 128 unscheduled message screeners. Configuration of the ControlNet VME card can be done using the on-board serial port or over the ControlNet network. Additionally, the on-board serial port allows field upgradability of the SST ControlNet FPGA and VME card firmware. By configuring the card through the serial port very little configuration is required through the host easing the implementation of the card in VME-based environments.
The addition of this card adds to the SST family of ControlNet products, which includes PC interface cards (ISA, PC/104), embedded network solutions and network gateways.
