Mettler-Toledo Safeline, the worldwide leader in metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment, introduces its new cost-effective metal detector. Designed for dry processing applications, the Gravity FlowSD metal detector can detect ferrous, non-ferrous, and stainless steel contaminants in high volume, free flowing powders and granular products.

Available as a free-standing unit with a reduced footprint or as a suspended unit, it offers 4", 6" and 8" infeed and discharge pipes and high-speed reject-valve to divert contaminated products. Utilizing quick-release clamps, the reject diverter can be quickly dismantled without tools and swung open to allow thorough cleaning of both the throughput pipe and the reject mechanism, saving valuable time. An intuitive user interface offers rapid operator training and ease of use for maximum uptime.

Mettler-Toledo Safeline's patented "Zero Metal Free Zone" (ZMFZ) technology minimizes the installation space required for easy integration into new or existing lines offering a cost savings. The technology reduces the length needed for the infeed and allows the reject mechanism to be positioned close to the metal detector without metallic interference or false rejects.

Like all Safeline products, the Gravity FlowSD is backed by the most comprehensive service network in the industry as well as 24/7 technical telephone support.
