Cross-Site Work Within Cambrex's Network
Matthew Zart is Group Leader, Analytical Development at Cambrex Charles City, IA. He holds an M.S. in Chemistry from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Kansas, with experience across both academia and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
He leads a team of scientists specializing in analytical technology development, transfer, and validation, drawing on that dual background in his approach to method development and technology transfer.
Asked about cross-site work within the Cambrex network, Zart describes close collaboration between facilities, with methods often developed at one site and one phase of a program before moving to another. A Phase 2 project might begin at Cambrex High Point, for instance, then arrive at Charles City for commercialization. His team takes those inherited methods, optimizes them, and prepares them for routine use in the quality control environment.
