Diamante: Innovation In Cosmetics

Marchesini packaging machines for cosmetics include Diamante, a twin-channel linear filling – capping machine, designed specifically for handling mascara and lip gloss containers.
The machine is currently one of the fastest mascara container filling – capping machines. With its twin dosing unit, the machine is capable of a speed increase of 60% compared with a conventional filling machine, operating at a rate of around 100 containers/min.

Diamante combines intermittent motion in the loading, conveyor and dosing steps, with continuous motion in the closing phases. The machine's main technical features are:

• Intermittent-motion container conveyor, mechanically interfaced with the continuous-motion capping device;
• Robotised drive units using brushless motors;
• Independent adjustment of the device for lifting containers under the filling station, controlled by brushless motors;
• Operating logic controlled by PC with colour touch-screen display;
• Independent devices for adjusting the dose which can be set from the display for each of the two channels;
• Adjustment of all components and machine cleaning from the operator side;
• Fast, easy, precise and flexible size change-over using container holder inserts.
