Utilizing backlight technology, the 740B Series' display provides higher contrast and a significantly brighter screen image
Fluke Corporationacklight technology, the 740B Series' display provides higher contrast and a significantly brighter screen image, according to the company. The Fluke 741B and 743B, like their predecessors, calibrate temperature, pressure, voltage, current, resistance, and frequency for complete maintenance and calibration of control instrumentation.

This series includes a bar code entry capability to capture alphanumeric data. Used in conjunction with the optional Fluke-700BCW bar code wand, bar code entry offers recording of tag ID, serial number and operator ID.

A transmitter mode also allows technicians to use their DPC to temporarily emulate a transmitter in the event of an emergency. By monitoring an input and delivering an output to the loop, it can keep the process up and running or help the user find the cause of a loop problem.

The 743B model also works with the Fluke DPC/TRACK software. The 741B and 743B support all 27 pressure modules to cover any pressure application, including gage, differential, dual (compound), absolute, and vacuum.
