Electrochemical Detector

Product Brochure: Electrochemical Detector — Coulochem® III
Electrochemical Detection is one of the most specific and sensitive detection methods in HPLC. Electrochemical detection systems are readily able to quantify very low levels of redox active compounds in either simple or complex matrices. For trace analysis applications, electrochemical detection can be an extremely powerful tool.
ESA's electrochemical detection system solutions have been designed to deliver the most sensitive, flexible and robust low level compound detection performance on the market today. Utilizing ESA's flagship electrochemical detector, the Coulochem® III, these systems have been optimized and specially designed to deliver the maximum performance possible in electrochemical detection. Ideal for routine method development and implementation, the advanced electronic design of ESA's instruments gives maximum detection sensitivity, and excellent performance coupled with extended reliability. Improved data bit resolution provides compatibility with the needs of customers to measure ever decreasing sample sizes and increases the usable dynamic range of these excellent instrument solutions.
Systems utilizing the Coulochem III also have the advantage of being able to utilize a wide variety of electrochemical detection cells and modalities including amperometric, coulometric, and pulsed amperometric detection modes. This allows researchers to both select an optimal detection method, and change rapidly and efficiently from method to method as desired.
Recent innovative application developments by ESA scientists and others have demonstrated the utility of utilizing electrochemical systems as in-line redox reactors. ESA electrochemical systems have been utilized to perform many exciting and useful applications such as oxidative compound and metabolite synthesis and assisted ionization of poorly ionizing compounds for Mass Spectrometry analysis.
