ESPS and FileNET Sign Strategic OEM Agreement
FORT WASHINGTON, PA and COSTA MESA, CA – SEPTEMBER 12, 2000 – ESPS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESPS), the premier provider of knowledge publishing software solutions, and FileNET Corp. (Nasdaq: FILE), a leading provider of enterprise Web Content Management and eBusiness applications, today announced that the companies entered into a new OEM agreement to integrate ESPS PDF renditioning technology with FileNET's Panagon Content Services. This agreement marks the expansion of their successful partnership to leverage each organization's core competencies and offer a best-of-breed solution for the content management and publishing demands of regulated industries.
"ESPS and FileNET are now working together on several fronts. Our products are fully integrated to support businesses utilizing both systems, and the ESPS PDF renditioning technology is embedded into the Panagon system," said Jeffrey Sager, ESPS vice president of business development. Panagon users can create a rendition or PDF copy of every content type managed by the Panagon system. In addition to supporting archiving and security strategies, this option optimizes Web delivery of content. "Essentially, Panagon users can take full advantage of a key benefit our technology offers – creating PDF copies automatically from over 135 different file formats," continued Sager.
Further, the companies announced that the ESPS Knowledge Publishing Suite™, including its flagship CoreDossier® software, fully integrates with the FileNET Panagon system, offering added integrated content management and publishing capabilities to companies using both products. The integration of the ESPS suite with Panagon enables users to easily access and render source documents stored in the Panagon repository and assemble this content into high-fidelity, published output, including HTML, PDF or other content types.
"Both of our organizations are committed to helping extend Web content management and publishing solutions for our customers," said Michael W. Harris, senior vice president of products & strategy at FileNET. "ESPS' PDF technology helps FileNET provide its customers with a complete Web content delivery system, resulting in significant savings in time and costs and enhanced publication quality – a winning combination."
