American Airlines Cargo's ExpediteTC cold chain service, was created for the pharmaceutical industry as a packaged product that AA Cargo could stand behind, in order to give shippers more security and commitment to temperature-controlled solutions. AA Cargo worked hard to launch this new product to the pharmaceutical industry by September 2010 and it has successfully reached expectations. ExpediteTC was based off of an existing product, ExpediteFS, because they wanted a product that had high reliability with the capability to fully track and trace shipments. AA Cargo believes that it is important for the pharmaceutical industry to have a dependable carrier due to the value of the cargo contents, and with the track and trace system customers always know where their product is at all times.
