Fast & Efficient Processing Of ELISA Assays Using Tecan's HydroSpeed™ Plate Washer And Infinite® F50 Absorbance Reader

This application note presents a performance evaluation of two automated tools—the HydroSpeed™ plate washer and Infinite® F50 absorbance reader—used in processing ELISA assays for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBs Ag) detection. The study demonstrates how these instruments streamline assay workflows, offering high throughput and reliable results without compromising sensitivity. The HydroSpeed washer’s advanced features, including Anti-Clogging™ technology and customizable wash programs, ensure consistent and efficient plate washing. Paired with the Infinite F50 reader’s rapid and reproducible absorbance measurements, the system successfully identified all positive and negative samples with no false results or retests required. The data analysis, performed using Magellan™ software, confirmed the robustness of the setup even with undiluted serum samples.
