Fermentation Separation System
Features include separator, starter, cyclone, control equipment and ancillary equipment. The solids-ejecting centrifuge operates at 12,800 G force and can handle a variety of biopharmaceutical separation tasks such as whole cell harvesting, broth clarification, and lysate clarification. The solids-ejecting bowl incorporates a hydraulic system for intermittent discharge of solids. Partial discharge of solids occurs while the separator is operating at full speed. Separated solids are ejected into the solids receptacle and then into the cyclone which reduces the kinetic energy of the discharged solids.
The turbidity sensor monitors the clarified effluent, sensing the need for, and actuating solids ejection. This system is also equipped with a direct gear drive. The system includes an emergency stop function and safety equipment to insure safe and reliable operation. All systems are manufactured in facilities that are in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
