Filling Line Nitrogen Purge Qualification
This video presents a detailed nitrogen purge qualification study conducted on an existing filling line for a client. The study focuses on enhancing the efficiency of the purging process by utilizing headspace oxygen analysis to monitor and control oxygen levels within the containers. Initially, the oxygen concentration in the headspace was around 5%, and the goal was to reduce it to 2% to ensure product stability and extend shelf life.
The improved workflow highlights the integration of real-time oxygen level monitoring using a LIGHTHOUSE non-destructive headspace analyzer. This advanced technology enables precise, at-line optimization of the purging process without compromising the integrity of the containers. As a result, the study achieved reliable in-process control of headspace oxygen levels to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with stringent industry standards.
