Fisher-Rosemount Systems Announces DeltaV Order for $3.5 Million Project at ScinoPharm Taiwan Ltd.

Fisher Rosemount Systems, Inc.ompany%>, the industry leading supplier of batch automation solutions to the pharmaceutical industry, today announced a contract agreement to supply ScinoPharm Taiwan Ltd. with a DeltaV™ scalable process system for their active pharmaceutical intermediates plant. The expanded I/O capacity and the advanced batch software of DeltaV Version 3 were key to winning the project. The project will be started up in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for June 1999, and the second phase is planned for Dec 1999.

The reliability of DeltaV has been well proven on over one thousand smaller jobs, providing a strong foundation for these larger projects. "

The first phase of the ScinoPharm project consists of more than 4000 connected I/O devices, 12 operator stations and 20 PLCs connected to DeltaV by OPC technology. Phase two adds an additional 4000 I/O and another 9 operator stations. ScinoPharm manufactures bulk pharmaceuticals for the global market at in their facility in Taiwan. FuTai Engineering has been selected as the general contractor for the project.
