Customer Problems
Foam level in reactors, strippers, decanters and other processes cannot be measured or controlled by current instrumentation. Foam has virtually no mass or density, so weight and differential pressure measurement techniques are useless. Nuclear, radar and ultrasonic measurement systems will transmit through the foam, or the beam will be scattered.

Canty's Solution
The Canty light and camera can view the the foam level. The image is transmitted to the Canty Vector NT, where the foam level is then output on a 4-20mA channel. A separate monitoring zone can also be configured to analyze the image for surface foaming, as well as percent foaming. Foam is generally brighter than liquid because it consists of bubbles. Bubbles reflect light, which can easily be detected by a Vector NT.

Vision/Lighting system, Vector NT system with level control software and a 4-20mA output for all vessels.
