Formed Packaging Technology

Harro Hofliger's formed packaging materials include PE laminate, aluminium foil or water-soluble film. Once the customer picks the material and Höfliger defines the appropriate forming process for producing the package. The choice of basic procedures include forming by application of air or vacuum, or with a forming plunger.These processes are tied into the Höfliger-developed line platform in combination with product-specific function stations.

The production can be consolidated into four principal steps:

• Forming the package
• Positioning and/or dosing the package content
• The airtight package closure by sealing or welding
• Singularising the products

Simultaneously with the engineering the construction solution for the production and product loading superior conveying concept is conceived, designed to accommodate the package form. Peripheral to the production of formed packages are further tasks such as package coding and marking, printing or checking for seal integrity and quality.
