The 505-4200 series two-wire Universal Sonic level transmitter offers all the features and performance of a four-wire transmitter in a two-wire design.

The Universal Sonic has a measuring range of 30 feet, and is ideal for non-contact level measurement in process or storage vessel applications. It is available with both analog and HART digital transmission capabilities.

Unlike many other two-wire ultrasonic level transmitter, the Universal Sonic transmitter responds quickly to level changes (within one second), making it ideal for use in process control systems. The ultrasonic product family features the easiest set up in the industry. Simply dial in the zero and span in inches and install the transmitter in the vessel. Zero and Span settings can be configured with or without power, on the bench or in the field.

Our unique AutoProfiling feature allows the transmitter to ignore false echoes from internal tank obstructions, agitator blades, etc. The feature is automatic and continuous, and is standard on all the new Universal Sonic transmitters. Users no longer need to wrestle with complicated and time consuming tank mapping routines.

The Universal Sonic is mounted in an explosion proof NEMA 4X housing for installation in hazardous areas. The transmitter housing is made of rugged cast aluminum suitable for use in industrial applications.
