Overview - Freezer temperature monitoring
Many organizations are required to monitor and record temperatures within their -90°C ultra-low temperature freezers in order to meet quality and regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals, biologics and human cell and tissue products (HCTPs).
Challenge
A challenge of monitoring ultra-low temperature freezers is how to collect the data on a continuous basis, easily and without affecting the temperature inside.
Another challenge is how best to acquire the data on a real-time basis so that the conditions can be remotely monitored and alarmed — without having to drill holes in the freezer to place wires or probes.
