FT-IRs for Spectroscopic Research
The FTS 6000 Spectrometer is a high performance research grade multi-range FT-IR spectrometer capable of both rapid scan and step scan operation and covering the spectral range 50,000-10 cm-1. Its high quality 60o Michelson air bearing piezoscan interferometer features piezoelectric-based continuous dynamic alignment and an interchangeable beamsplitter design. Other features include operation into the UV/Visible range and patented in-scan co-adding (providing effective 22 bit A/D operation). The piezoscan interferometer is capable of spectral resolution to 0.075 cm-1.
FTS 6000e
The FTS 6000e is derived from the proven design of Bio-Rad's heralded FTS 6000 spectrometer. Based on a high output water-cooled ceramic source and a two-inch clear aperture, 60o, air bearing interferometer, focuses more than 150 mW of infrared power at the sample. This amount of infrared power is typically more than four times higher than systems based on air-cooled sources and 90o interferometers. The result is superior signal-to-noice performance for low energy applications and enhanced sensitivity.
Rapid Scan Kinetics
The FTS 6000 is capable of collecting kinetic data at rates approaching 200 spectra/second. With its 2"-clear aperture air bearing interferometer, high speed kinetic data can be acquired with unsurpassed signal to noise. In addition, the dynamic alignment servo control assures accurate alignment of the interferometer, even at the fastest scan speeds
