Goode Named President, CEO of Unimed Pharmaceuticals
The board of directors of Unimed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) has announced the appointment of Ronald L. Goode, Ph.D., to the position of president and chief executive officer and director. For more than 11 years, Goode has served in various positions of increasing responsibility at G.D. Searle & Co., most recently as corporate senior vice president and president, Asia/Pacific World Area.
Goode began his pharmaceutical career at Hoffmann-La Roche, subsequently moving to Pfizer for 10 years before initiating his tenure at Searle. In addition to general management, Goode's prior experience included responsibility for business development, licensing, marketing research and planning, and product development.

Goode holds a doctorate in microbial genetics from the University of Georgia, a master's degree in microbiology from the University of Memphis, and an undergraduate degree in biology from that same institution.
