- If your request is suitable for Visual Support, a HERMA specialist will arrange an appointment with you. This will take place immediately or at a time of your choice (depending on the availability of a technician)
- You will then receive a link to our myHERMA portal, where you will find a cost estimate and have to confirm the appointment. The appointment will only take place with your confirmation.
- After confirmation, you will receive an appointment invitation and the link to Visual Support by e-mail. Open this link for your appointment and support will start immediately.
- During Visual Support, the HERMA specialist can take screenshots, which are later made available to you in myHERMA. This will provide you with precise documentation. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know at the beginning of the Visual Support. myHERMA

Does QR code diagnostics work in every case?
The QR code diagnosis is particularly useful for faults caused by incorrect settings. A specialist can recognize this in the parameters. Before scanning the QR code, please contact the HERMA service hotline (+49 (0) 711 / 7702-2777) or your local partner. They will be able to quickly assess whether a diagnosis using the QR code makes sense.
What else should I do to make it easier for the technicians to make a remote diagnosis?
In order to provide you with the best possible advice, it is helpful to scan a QR code if your settings are correct and the device is running properly. A HERMA expert can use this scan later to compare it with the incorrect settings.
Where can I find the QR code or how do I generate it?
Call up the advanced settings in the HERMA 500 menu and select "Parameters". The QR code then appears. Once you have scanned the QR code, you do not need to do anything else. A specialist will analyze your settings and get back to you with suggested solutions.
Does it cost anything to use the QR code and HERMA support?
Use of the QR code is free of charge. However, when checking the parameters, it may turn out that simple changes to the settings are not sufficient or that the problem has mechanical, electronic or other causes. To rectify such faults, you can use our Visual Support or request a customer service call; these are not free of charge.
How secure is it to transmit the QR code?
The parameters are coded and transmitted in encrypted form. This only concerns data relating to the HERMA labeler. There is no online access to your labeler or your network.
