High Shear Vertical Granulators
A liquid binder is introduced through a nozzle located in the lid of the processing chamber. The granulator's intense mixing action distributes the binder quickly. The spiral pattern of the material created by the impeller and bowl geometry produces a rolling and compacting action, which produces high-density granules. A variable speed cross screw located in the processing chamber applies additional shear, evenly distributing the liquid binder and breaking up any oversized agglomerates that may have formed, which can then be discharged through a port in the chamber.
Systems from 1 liter R&D units up to 3000 liter production units are available.
Pilot scale equipment is available at Glatt's Ramsey New Jersey Process Development Laboratory for testing and customer inspection.
