Honeywell-POMSB>Wide Range of Pharmaceutical and CPG Manufacturers to Benefit from Integrated Production Scheduling

<%=company%>, a business of Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions, today announced the signing of an OEM partnership agreement with Taylor Manufacturing Systems, a leading supplier of advanced production scheduling software.

The agreement allows Honeywell POMS to offer the Taylor Scheduler, the core engine of the Taylor Enterprise Scheduling System (TESS*), as part of the POMS MES™ and POMS CMS™ solution suites with real-time integration to the production floor. It continues the Honeywell POMS commitment to offering comprehensive solutions for the healthcare, clinical, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries, addressing all facets of the manufacturing process.

"Integrated plant floor scheduling provides a strategic advantage for users of POMS MES and CMS solutions," said Wayne Castner, COO of Honeywell POMS and Vice President of Honeywell Business.FLEX™ Solutions. "It allows our customers to improve productivity and handle increased complexity."

"Taylor Manufacturing Systems' world-class products and experience in regulated industries make them a perfect complement to our industry-leading POMS solutions."

The Taylor Scheduler brings a powerful, high-performance scheduling engine, graphical Gantt chart, multi-plant capabilities, and real-time drag-and-drop scheduling to the POMS suite. Built-in "what-if" capabilities and production performance versus plan measurements allow users to evaluate manufacturing options and report on plant performance to schedule.

Integration of the Taylor Scheduler with POMS MES and CMS will allow schedule changes to be communicated in real time to the plant floor, and will provide the scheduler with instant visibility to order and resource status. Schedule decisions can be made rapidly, with the confidence that a realistic and optimal solution has been chosen. POMS MES and CMS then ensure that the schedule is executed promptly and precisely, and that all activities maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

"The Taylor Scheduler is designed to be integrated with real-time manufacturing management systems like POMS," said Neil Taylor, President and CEO of Taylor Manufacturing Systems. "The real-time feedback link between the two systems greatly improves the accuracy and performance of both POMS and the Taylor Scheduler, shortening production times and increasing manufacturing flexibility for our customers. Together, Honeywell and Taylor offer the healthcare, clinical, and CPG industries a manufacturing management and scheduling solution that is second to none."
