Hose Valve
The hose valve provides many advantages over other hose valves. The straight-through flow path allows for substantial flow capacity: 331 standard cubic feet per minute air or 42 gallons per minute of water at the maximum cold working pressure of 150 psig. The ball-and-seat design allows the sealing surface to move freely, providing a new sealing surface every time the valve is closed, which minimizes the effects of wear. The closing force is provided by system pressure -- the higher the pressure, the better the seal. The integrated operating lever is designed for quick opening and automatic shut-off.
Stainless steel construction extends the life of the assembly, and a TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer) covering helps prevent damage when the valve comes in contact with tank or vessel linings, machines, or floors. The valve is available with a brass nozzle for air or water service; the air nozzle design meets OSHA compliance. An optional swivel connector increases maneuverability and reduces twisted or kinked hoses.
The hose valve is ideal for applications like pulp & paper mills (for rethreading paper machinery) and for processing plants (chemical, dairy, food, beverage, etc.) for washdown of stainless steel and lined tanks. It was designed from the ground up for industrial applications, to provide long service life in harsh environments.
