Howorth Air Technology Inc Opens New Facility In USA

Howorth Air Technology Inc is continuing its expansion into the US market with the launch of a new facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The new facility offers engineering, project management, assembly and test processes, and a fully equipped showroom, all on one site.

The initial focus for the US team will be on producing Howorth's world- renowned containment products, which provide solutions to the varied and ever-increasing demands of potent compound manufacturing and handling. However, it is anticipated that by 2009, the company's portfolio of medical products, notably the Exflow Ultra-Clean Canopy, will also be produced in Louisville.

The US facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, and staffed by a workforce of highly technical US operatives, trained by experienced Howorth technicians from the UK.

The US Operations Team will provide products designed specifically for the US market. US customers can expect equipment and service of the same high quality and reliability that current customers are accustomed to receiving from Howorth, Thom Nicholas, US General Manager, says: "Howorth has been a formidable presence in the US healthcare and pharmaceutical markets for many years. The new operations facility in Louisville is part of Howorth's overall growth strategy and has been launched in response to customers' desire for the company to have an operations presence in the US to service the North American market.
