Howorth Air Technology Win International Safety Award
The International Safety Awards scheme is devised to recognise and reward organisations that show a commitment to
improving corporate health and safety and is acknowledged by the Health
and Safety Executive. This award compliments the continued accreditation of
CHAS, HVCA, safe contractor and contraction line.
As the award is based on the continuous improvement of Health and Safety systems, the bar is raised a little higher each year. This year, Howorth Air Technology have had to demonstrate continuous improvement in all aspects of their Health & Safety systems including:
- Risk assessment
- Policy and procedures
- Training
- Site operations
- Communication
- Director involvement in the H&S management system
- Safety committee
Continued accreditation to safety groups such as CHAS, HVCA & Safe Contractor. Howorth Air Technology are proud to have won the award for the second consecutive year and thank everyone who made this possible, especially everyone within the organisation who helped support the continuous improvement of the company's health and safety policies and systems.
Next year, Westbury Filtermation, Howorth Air Technology's sister company, will apply for the award following the move to their new site in Burnley in June of this year and the review of their H&S systems.
