Huber Combines Minerals And Chemicals Businesses To Form Huber Engineered Materials
J.M. Huber Corp. has combined its engineered minerals and chemicals businesses to create Huber Engineered Materials and increase its global presence in the paper, paint, rubber, plastics, dental, food and pharmaceutical industries. David Hill, president of Huber Chemicals since joining the Company in April 1997 becomes president of the new organization.
"The two businesses currently share some customers," said Hill. "This combination enables us to better meet these and other customers' needs with a broader range of specialty products and services."
Before joining Huber, Hill was president of Allied Signal's Specialty Chemicals Division. He received his BS in Materials Science, MS in Engineering and PhD in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Oscar Scott, formerly president of Huber Engineered Minerals, will serve as executive vice president of Huber Engineered Materials until his planned retirement in 1999.
